Forget the dream of becoming superpower, India is in urgent need of electricity and nuclear deal would help India to produce enough electricity to meet the demands of power. It would also help Indian industries to grow fast.

Indo-US nuclear deal is not only necessary for India but for the United States also. the US government is trying hard to make the deal operational to make India a responsible partner in nuclear world. The US would use India's stand to counter other countries planning to go nuclear in future.

It is high time parameters for being ’superpower’are changed:a country should be able to provide basic food,clothing,shelter and health care for its citizens without exploiting poor countries for resources to be called one and that too without declaring war on other countries.
With astronomical international debts and rising inflation, signing a nuclear deal for nuclear energy and dreaming of becoming a superpower will make India look like a pauper dreaming of becoming a king.
